A gorgeous Summer's Day with an appliquéd beehive and bluebirds, this delightful, thatched cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden that's filled with embroidered flowers and bees. Practical and stylish this tablet bag combines appliqué, embroidery and has a quilt as you go stripy backing and bag flap with a sew in magnetic clasp for closure.

10” x 12” cream tonal, background
5” square each of soft pink tonal and dark brown tonal, cottage and thatch
Scraps assorted prints for birds, doors and beehive
1½’ strip blue print, gusset
1½’ strip light green tonal, ground and windows
1 x fat ¼ soft brick print, binding
1 (3” x 12½”) each of 4 assorted prints, back of bag
1 (1½” x 12½”) each of 4 assorted prints, back of bag
4” x WOF blue print, bag handle (or premade faux leather handle)
Lining fabric
6 ply stranded embroidery floss, I used Valdani #H212 faded brown, #P10 old rose, #O575 crispy leaf, #JP12 seaside, #P5 tarnished gold, #O512 chimney dust and #P10 antique violet
