This exclusive retreat is for free range hens, where they can lay eggs at their leisure and hunt for worms in the dirt. For several years, we kept a brood of bantams in our backyard. My dad built a very exotic hen house for them, and this was the inspiration for this design.

I have used tea-dyed calico as the background for my stitchery. You could use any cream on cream tonal and get a fantastic look. I added coordinating print narrow strips log cabin to the center stitchery to create this sweet Hens Live Here Pillow.

Pattern includes 1 x raw wood worm button

Finished pillow size approx. 11¾” x 12¼”

See second image for the requirements needed for this project.
