Lynette bought these brilliant A4 nonslip black mats when she was in Japan. They replace the need for a sandpaper board. Nothing seems to move on them, making them ideal for all aspects of stitching.
"I am pleasantly surprised at how much I like working on a black work area. It's quite kind to the eyes and certainly seems to make threading a needle easier as you can see the eye! Black on one side and grey on the other to help with both light and dark fabrics."
Interestingly, you can use an iron on these mats, and they roll up for easy storage and can be washed when dirty.
For Patchwork Use:
-When you mark or fold the seam allowance in, the fabric won't move.
-Beads won't roll.
-Smooth surface won't damage your tools or fabrics.
-Easy to carry and store.
If it gets dirty, you can wash with water and a mild detergent, using a cloth. Dry in the shade (Do not tumble dry).
