It's Spring here in the garden. The flowers are blooming, and the birds are making their nests. English paper piecing, appliqué, 3D flowers and embroidery come together to make this very pretty pillow.
- 1 (12½” x 12½”) sq. light grey tonal, stitchery background
- 24 (5” x 5”) squares from assorted fabrics, applique, hexagons and border
- 1 (¾” x 7½”) bias strip – 1/8th” x 7½” finished
- 1 (14½” x 14½”) square fabric for pillow back
- 6 ply stranded embroidery floss, I used Valdani #H204 nostalgic rose, #578 primitive blue, #P5 tarnished gold, #0126 old cottage grey, #P10 antique violet, #548 blackened khaki brown
- and #575 crispy leaf
